Beta-Blocker

CPT74H

Definition: Beta-blockers are a class of drugs that lower blood pressure. These medications work by blocking the effects of the hormone epinephrine in your body. By decrease the epinephrine levels, your heart beats at a slower rate and with less force therefore reducing blood pressure. Beta blockers also assist in opening up blood vessels to boost blood flow.
